Privacy policy

The German version of this privacy policy is legally authoritative.

2. General information

This website can be used without providing any personal data. It uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking services, and embeds no external fonts or third-party scripts. The only exception are the registration forms for our competitions (see section 6) – and even those are loaded only after you explicitly click. There is no contact form; contact takes place solely through the channels you choose yourself – phone or e-mail.

3. Server log files

When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically processes information in server log files that your browser transmits (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, browser type, referrer URL). This data serves to ensure trouble-free operation and to improve security (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is not combined with other data sources.

4. Contact by e-mail or phone

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process your details (name, contact data, content of the enquiry) solely to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Please note that data transmission on the internet (e.g. unencrypted e-mail) may have security gaps.

5. External links and social media

Our website contains links to external services (including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Maps, Apple Maps and OpenStreetMap). When you click these links you leave our website; the privacy policies of the respective providers apply. Simply visiting our pages does not transmit any of your data to these providers.

The home page shows the most recent posts from our Instagram profile. Our own server retrieves those posts and their images from Instagram and then serves them itself. No Instagram script is embedded, no cookies are set, and your browser opens no connection to Meta/Instagram – your IP address is not passed on to Meta. You only leave our website once you click a post.

6. Registration forms for our competitions (Google Forms)

Registration for our competitions runs through Google Forms, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. On the competition pages the form is not embedded by default: at first you only see a notice with a button. As long as you do not click that button, your browser opens no connection to Google, no IP address is transmitted and no cookies are set (a so-called two-click solution).

Only when you click “Load the form” is the form fetched from Google. Your IP address and further technical data are then transmitted to Google; Google may set cookies and transfer data to the USA. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, given by that click and revocable at any time with effect for the future by leaving or reloading the page. Google’s processing is governed by the Google privacy policy.

The details you enter in the form (including name, contact details, style, club and competition division) are processed by us solely in order to run the respective competition (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention periods apply. Alternatively you may open the form directly at Google, or register informally by e-mail or phone.

7. Photos and images, especially of children

We publish photos from our association's activities only with the consent of the persons depicted. As a matter of principle, we do not publish photos or names of children from our school and kindergarten projects without the explicit consent of their legal guardians (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Please use the contact details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority; for Saxony: Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte, Devrientstraße 5, 01067 Dresden.

9. Objection to promotional e-mails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published in fulfilment of our imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials. We reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising, for example spam e-mails.
